On behalf of our Client we are searching for a Field based Product Sales Specialist with a high degree of experience in Safety and Sensor products or ideal would be TUV Certified FS Engineer, to cover the Midlands and Northern half of the UK. An ideal location would be central to the area with good access to road networks, West Midlands, East Midlands, South Yorkshire, Manchester, Leeds would all be good locations, although suitable candidates based in other areas are welcome.
The Sales Specialist will deliver sales growth through business development, product demonstration and technical support activities within the company traditional customer base typically Electrical & Electronic industry based Panel Builder, System Integrator, OEM’s and End User customers, both by direct sales activity and identifying your own business growth opportunities and projects and also through the support of other colleagues within the sales team.
The successful candidate will be competent both technically and commercially in the sensor and machine safety field, and will be a dynamic business professional with excellent communication skills to influence internal and external customers at the highest level. In addition, the individual will develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the traditional and target markets, providing specialist knowledge and expertise to establish and implement successful sales plans that will drive profitable sales results. You will also have the opportunity to gain TUV FS Certification if you do not already have this.
In order to be successful at this technical role it is likely you will have an Electrical Engineering qualification, HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Degree level, and be able to demonstrate excellent industry and product knowledge.
You will have proven sales success as a Field Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Product Sales Manager/Engineer.
Probably at least 5 years sales experience in the Electrical/Electronic Control & Automation market.
Strong communication and commercial skills, technical ability and a desire to succeed are seen as a must in order to make the role a success.
Since the role is a large regional territory covering approximately the Northern half of the UK, location is very flexible, however, good access to road networks is essential, as is the ability to spend some nights away.
