Stores Person/Stores Manager – Industrial Component Distributor Salary Negotiable Depending upon experience, other benefits TBA - Sheffield
If you have a experience as a Stores person, ideal would be in a small team in an engineering or industrial component distribution environment, such as Pneumatic, Hydraulic, or an Electrical Wholesale Branch operation, perfect would be from the electrical component supply industry, with an ability to deal with customers when required, along with any further stores training/apprenticeship completed, we have a great opportunity based in Sheffield.
You should be able to lead by example, maintaining a positive attitude and approach to problem solving, ensuring high levels of customer service are met, and achieving key performance indicators to maximise sales. You will be a key internal member of the staff, involved in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining customer relationships, supporting external sales staff when required and effective use of time and resources. Good communication skills and accuracy are of course a necessity, as are basic computer skills including a working knowledge of a stock management system. Experience in an industrial component distribution business would be a major advantage in terms of experience.
Duties include:
- Goods received/Goods despatch, ensuring accuracy of both to paperwork.
- Picking/Packing/Shipping of orders.
- Stock management, correct location of stock, correct stock levels maintained.
- Stock check.
- Dealing with 3rd party couriers and delivery/transport companies.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries/order chase and returns.
- Admin/phones, assisting sales staff with customers when required.
- Identify opportunities for improvements in the stores operation.
