Job Description

Sales Engineer Conveyor Systems Salary package up to £50K DOE plus Bonus, Car, Expenses and excellent benefits.

 

On behalf of our Client we are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer who has experience with conveyor systems, materials handling solutions or possibly other related capital plant or solutions sales background.

You are most likely to be an already successful sales person in a role as Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager ideally with good experience of conveyor systems, or experience within food & beverage, pharmaceutical type markets and customer base, seeking to earn a market leading package whilst contributing an integral part in the growth of this well-established independent company.

In addition an engineering qualification is most likely, probably to HNC or above, along with the ability to travel extensively including overnight stays when required and therefore a valid U.K. driving license is required.

Whilst using your own industry knowledge to generate your own appointments, you will be supported by in house telesales, lead generation and marketing, and technically supported by in house specialists.

You will have the confidence of knowing the company can provide a full in-house service including project management, design, manufacture, install, and commissioning.

Ideal locations would include, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bedford, Stevenage, Cambridge, Luton, Harlow, St Albans, Aylesbury, Watford.

 Summary

 

Must have technical sales experience, ideally in the conveyors, food and drinks machinery or similar areas.

Be able to work in a strategic manner and develop a business plan in conjunction with other sales management.

Must have good interpersonal skills when dealing with technical and engineering management.

Must have good practical engineering knowledge, ideally supported by an engineering qualification.

Understand requirements of conveying in the food and drinks industry

Must be prepared to travel all over the UK, including nights staying away.

Have a range of basic IT skills, including excel, word etc.

Experience working with Blue Chip companies at all level up to board level.

Commercially aware and can assess and understand customer’s requirements.

Good knowledge of production processes within the FMCG/food & drinks industry.

Existing contacts in the food and beverage packaging industry would be a benefit.
