On behalf of our Client we are searching for a Field based Product Sales Specialist based ideally in the North West area of England, with good access to road networks, although applicants based in other areas will be considered.
The Sales Specialist will deliver sales growth through business development, product demonstration and technical support activities within the companies traditional customer base typically Panel Builder, System Integrator, OEM’s and End User customers, also by developing non traditional market segments and customers. This will be achieved through the direct development of new business within identified target accounts, and team working through the deployment of effective business development actions with Sales, Marketing and Specification colleagues, as well as working with and influencing Channel and Distribution partners.
The successful candidate will be highly competent both technically and commercially in this field, and will be a dynamic business professional with excellent communication skills to influence internal and external customers at the highest level. In addition, the individual will develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the traditional and target markets, providing specialist knowledge and expertise to establish and implement successful sales plans that will drive profitable sales results. You will also have input to pricing strategy, product development and manage product introductions along with colleagues.
In order to be successful at this technical role it is likely you will have HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or be able to demonstrate excellent industry and product knowledge.
You will have proven sales success as a Field Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Product Sales Manager/Engineer.
Probably at least 5 years sales experience in the Electrical/Electronic Control & Automation market.
Experience working with and motivating reseller channel partners.
Strong communication and commercial skills, technical ability and a desire to succeed are seen as a must in order to make the role a success.
Since the role is a large regional territory covering approximately the Northern half of the UK, location is very flexible, however, good access to road networks is essential, as is the ability to spend some nights away.
