Product Database Administrator / Product Information Management 

We are currently seeking candidates for a Product Database Administrator with experience in Product Content Management to join our Clients’ I.T department. As part of a team you will mainly be involved with the Product Information Management systems ensuring that the relevant product information from manufacturers and suppliers marketing departments and ERP systems is correctly and consistently available and distributed to the businesses sales channels, on line web site and shops, catalogues and print materials.

The primary role is to ensure that all product data, copy and assets required for the websites are captured accurately. This will involve coordinating projects related to maintaining product data within the PIM, data enrichment including the addition of category data and ETIM classification and data cleansing. You will also be expected to manage product data acquisition from suppliers and internal Product Managers, resulting in the uploading of new products to the product database and the maintenance including price updates and changes to existing products. It will also benefit the team if you provide support and training to product data assistants, ensuring product data standards and data governance processes are followed.


-The successful candidate will be working with database tools such as Excel, Access and SQL and have the ability to solve complex technical problems using a methodical approach with a ‘can-do’ mentality.

-Understanding of relational databases.

-Higher level of SQL select and update vocabulary is desired.

-High degree of accuracy applied to workload.

-Excellent organisational skills.

-Ability to prioritise tasks based on business objectives.


Office based split with home working at present, you are likely to be located Peterborough, Huntingdon, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bedford area in order to have a reasonable commute.
