Major Accounts Manager South of England circa £45K basic plus bonus, car allowance, pension, expenses, laptop, mobile etc
Our Client, a respected name in the Electrical sector seeks an experienced and motivated sales person to further develop sales of their products to major end user type customers in the South of England, and South Wales. Of particular interest are sales people with experience, understanding and knowledge of the market, large end users and the Electrical Wholesale sector.
You will manage sales both direct and via distribution, you will be totally responsible for further development of relationships and all business via your designated accounts. This will be achieved by engaging with the nominated accounts to achieve preferred supplier or specification status, winning tenders and purchase programmes and joint identification of business targets and assisting in coordinated efforts with other team members to achieve business wins.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, working as part of the current external sales team and further supported by an internal sales team you will be field based operating from either your home office spending approximately 4 days per week travelling and visiting customers and 1 days per week for your administration and appointment making, occasionally this will be at the company offices.
You will already be experienced as a Field Sales person, most likely in the Electrical sector and with experience selling to large end users. Training on equipment will be given and at least some electrical understanding is required, ideally an electrical qualification. You must, after training, have an ability to understand the equipment and its use sufficiently to carry out demonstrations, tradeshows and other activities that build awareness, such as customer training. You will be commercially driven with the ability to take on board training in the products and effectively develop the business. Field based at your home office you are likely to be living centrally in the South of England, possibly with a South East bias, Reading, Slough, Basingstoke, Crawley, Croydon, Guildford, Watford, St Albans, Harlow would all be suitable locations in order to best access the full territory, although further afield will be considered for good candidates.

Achieve preferred supplier status for the company’s products with suitable business targets.
Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Valid UK driving licence.
