IT Systems Manager Northamptonshire Negotiable Salary DOE plus benefits

Due to continued growth and promotion, a new opportunity has arisen with our Client for an I.T. Systems Manager. This position is to support the Head of IT in managing and maintaining the internal software, hardware and infrastructure systems within the business and work in partnership with our third-party providers.

Ideally with proven experience of managing an I.T. department and with evidence of strong team leading and communication skills, you would be have overall responsibility as listed below and reporting in to the Head of I.T. You will be working in a successful B2B distribution business which has grown consistently year on year and spans the whole UK plus overseas offices.

Roles and Responsibilities.

Manage the day-to-day support of all internal business systems, processes and direct reports.

Periodically review and enhance the disaster recovery / business continuity guidelines.

Project management and implementation of all new software, hardware, and systems into the business.

Proactively identify the internal IT needs of the business and provide suggestions and solutions,       ensuring collaboration with all other teams.

Research and maintain knowledge of the latest, emerging technologies and Security best practices, so that the business is up to date/ahead of industry standards and remains compliant.

Actively participate as a team member to assist in the overall development and success of the department.

Work with the Head of IT and other departments to understand business operations, challenges and upcoming plans and priorities.



Excellent IT skills and knowledge combined with a good level of business acumen.

Experience of ERP Systems.

Experience of Telephony systems, on premise (Mitel) and cloud based technology.

Good Knowledge of Microsoft products (365 and Azure).

Good knowledge of infrastructure.

Experience of SQL server management and coding.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.

Full training will be provided to the right candidate.



Experience of GP  (Microsoft Great Plains) and CRM.

Exposure to Scribe integrations.

Exposure to Power BI.
