Due to continued growth and promotion, a new opportunity has arisen with our Client for an I.T. Support Lead. This position is to support the Head of IT in managing and maintaining the internal software, hardware and infrastructure systems within the business and work in partnership with our third-party providers.
Ideally with proven experience at a senior level in an I.T. team or directly managing the service desk and with evidence of strong team leading and communication skills, you would be have overall responsibility as listed below and reporting in to the Head of I.T. You will be working in a successful B2B distribution business which has grown consistently year on year and spans the whole UK plus overseas offices.

Roles and Responsibilities.
Manage the day-to-day support of all internal business systems, processes and direct reports.
To set up new starters from AD user creation to ensure all IT equipment is in place for the user. To remove access through proper processes when a user leaves the business, ensuring all equipment is returned and repurposed.
To maintain the existing PCs and peripherals by performing upgrades, new installations, booking repairs and carrying out routine procedures.
To assist in the compilation of the Support team’s technical documentation, guidelines and procedure
Proactively identify the internal IT needs of the business and provide suggestions and solutions, ensuring collaboration with all other teams.
Actively participate as a team member to assist in the overall development and success of the department.
Work with the Head of IT and other departments to understand business operations, challenges and upcoming plans and priorities.
Excellent IT skills and knowledge combined with a good level of business acumen.
Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019
Active Directory Group Policies/DNS/DHCP/DFS etc.
Microsoft 365 (Windows 10, Office 365 & EM + S) Azure AAD
Experience supporting a SIP/VOIP telephony system
Technical proficiency in server and storage hardware and software
Proactive management and monitoring & troubleshooting operational issues
An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.
