International Business Development Manager/Director

Basic Neg D.O.E Circa £60K - £80 OTE plus benefits and expenses.

Our U.K. based Client is seeking a Business Development Manager / Director to lead demand creation and introduce best practice and procedures into the existing sales operation based in Dubai, selling industrial electrical control & automation products and solutions. The role is ideally based in the UK with frequent travel to Dubai offices and customers throughout the region as required, to develop business in the middle east and any other area served by these offices, so time would be approximately equally spent 60:40 Dubai:UK and in this case may have some additional BDM responsibility added. Located preferably central region of England with good access to an international airport would be ideal. Alternatively an expatriate living in Dubai with previous experience of working in U.K. or European Sales role could also be considered. The successful candidate will have advanced selling, administration and organisational skills, as well as man management experience and be able to champion improvement in the sales process by the existing team.

It is likely that the suitable applicants will have at least 3 years international sales experience, preferably gained in the middle east with the ability to liaise with clients in a confident and credible manner within a technical sales environment as this is a role which involves dealing with senior internal and external staff at director level and will require the ability to project self confidence and motivate team members to achieve the desired outcome.


A qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, possibly HND or Degree level.

Further Sales and Business Administration qualification, training or experience at advanced level.

Leadership capability.

Excellent administration skills.

Ability to prioritise tasks based on business objectives.

Microsoft office and CRM familiarity.

Language skills in Arabic would be an advantage but not essential.
