Field Sales Engineer Industrial Control & Automation

Salary Negotiable DOE Circa £40K OTE plus Car Pension PMI Home Office smart phone laptop etc.

On behalf of our Client we are now seeking candidates for the role of Area Sales Engineer, experience in a similar role selling control & automation products with a proven track record as an account manager, business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical sector would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given This could be an ideal opportunity for a bright. Energetic and positive graduate electrical engineer seeking a career in field sales.

The Sales Engineer will be selling a range of high quality Industrial Automation products, i.e. PLC, Control Gear, Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder customers across all markets throughout parts of the West Midlands and some parts of the East Midlands area including Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, Shropshire, Telford, Derby, Nottingham and Leicestershire. The area has an established base of existing customers and you will be further developing these as well as targeting new business.

As the successful candidate, you will have sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry coupled with a record of sales success and achievement. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline ONC or above is likely. Ideally you will also have benefitted from further career development training to enhance your sales skills.

As is usual you will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a personal plan in order to achieve your objectives. Other positive attributes such as good organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player whilst enjoying a level of autonomy.
