We have a superb opportunity for the right candidate to join our client’s sales team as Area Sales Manager for the North West & M6 corridor region. You will currently be a successful Field Sales Engineer in the Industrial Electrical Sector and experience of selling technical components, products, solutions or services, with the desire to build the area business, growing an already established customer base, the determination to make your mark and take ownership of the development of the business in the area. Ideally your career as a sales engineer or sales representative to date will have included working for a manufacturer or technical distributor and selling both directly to key accounts, working via distributors and resellers and also working closely with other supply and solutions partners. Understanding of a broad range of control & automation components along with experience of a wide range of industry sectors would be perfect. Someone with experience working with an MRO supplies would also be of interest.
The successful candidate will inherit an already active territory extending from Lancashire, including Manchester, Wigan, Bolton, Warrington, Liverpool, and Merseyside, Liverpool, Runcorn down through Cheshire, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, North Wales and to the top of the West Midlands, including Wolverhampton.
Your role content is account manager to existing accounts and business development of additional revenue via existing and new accounts in order to maximise sales and profits.
The role will be selling a full range of industrial electrical control and automation equipment and other process control devices into various market sectors.
A relevant Engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
