On behalf of our Client we have an excellent opportunity to progress your career as an Area Sales Engineer or Area Sales Manager in the Industrial Electrical sector, specifically Industrial Control & Automation. This role will suit an enthusiastic and energetic sales person keen to make their mark and demonstrate their sales capability.
The Sales Engineer will be selling a full range of Industrial Automation products, i.e. Control Gear, Circuit Protection, Switches, Connectors, Variable Speed Drives, PLC’s, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation into the OEM, End User, System Integrator and Panel Builder and also resellers and distributors across the South central area of England.

The Person: A competent and experience salesperson, commercially aware and driven to succeed. In the current environment (Covid) you will need a flexible attitude since your diary is unlikely to with field based appointments. You will need to be comfortable with generating and maintain relationships via telephone and video calls and meetings, able to present yourself and products via this means. Competent at using the means available to us at this time for research and contacting potential customers, the internet, social media etc. Industry market knowledge of the sector is required, as is reasonable product familiarity, technical qualification would be ideal but not essential, the ability to sell and demonstrate success is. You will have full support resources within the organisation and your own energy will be the only limitation to the levels of your rewards and success.
As is usual you will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a personal plan in order to achieve your objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts whilst constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. Excellent attributes such as good organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player whilst enjoying a level of autonomy are essential, as are capability with Microsoft packages.
