On behalf of our Client we are searching for a Field based Area Sales Manager based ideally in the North West area of England, with good access to road networks, although applicants based in other areas will be considered. Field based and working within a small team you will sell a range of connector products and solutions along with safety and P.P.E. equipment into an industrial electrical customer base.
The Area Sales Manager will deliver sales growth through business development, product demonstration and technical support activities within the company’s traditional industrial customer base within the electrical sector typically consisting of Panel Builder, System Integrator, M&E Contractors, OEM’s and End User customers, as well as wholesale and distribution resellers and also by developing non traditional market segments and customers. This will be achieved through the direct development of new business within identified target accounts, and team working through the deployment of effective business development actions with Sales, Marketing and Specification colleagues, as well as working with and influencing Channel and Distribution partners.
The successful candidate will be highly competent both technically and commercially in this field, and will be a dynamic business professional with excellent communication skills to influence internal and external customers at the highest level. In addition, the individual will develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the traditional and target markets, providing specialist knowledge and expertise to establish and implement successful sales plans that will drive profitable sales results.
In order to be successful at this technical role it is likely you will have qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of either the Electrical, Tools or PPE equipment market place.
You will have proven sales success as a Field Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Sales Executive.
Probably at least 3 years sales experience in the Electrical, Tools or P.P.E. equipment sectors.
Experience working with and motivating reseller channel partners.
Strong communication and commercial skills, technical ability and a desire to succeed are seen as a must in order to make the role a success.
Since the role is a large regional territory covering a regional territory, location is very flexible, however, good access to road networks is essential, as is the ability to spend some nights away.
