Area Sales Engineer/Field Sales Engineer - Technical Sales Process Instrumentation & Control £40 - £50K OTE inc basic, generous bonus, company car, laptop, mobile, private medical, & other benefits.

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced technical sales engineer to join a leading and progressive company as Regional Sales Engineer for a range of Process Instrumentation & Control products & solutions. 

In this role as a field based technical sales engineer  you are looking to achieve profitable business sales of the range of pressure, flow, temperature, level sensor products along with control valves and actuators. To be successful you will require knowledge and experience with these types of products and ATEX understanding. You will also have access to a full product range of control system components and solutions along with support on these form your colleagues to provide a complete package and solution to customer requirements. This regional territory covers the North of England so there is flexibility on location, so you could be located North West, Manchester, Stockport, Stoke on Trent, or West Yorkshire, Leeds, Huddersfield, South Yorkshire, Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham. The territories will be regional so there is much flexibility.

Field based and working closely with the rest of the sales team and managers and directors, your key responsibilities as a field sales engineer will be: 

• To open up new business opportunities, as well as managing existing clients. 
• Be selling the range of products to OEM’s, and end users, within the relevant sectors. 
• To articulate an in-depth understanding of the technical side of the process instrumentation and control products. 
• Network and build relationships to generate opportunities. 

The Candidate 
For this technical field sales engineer position, prospective candidates must have experience with process instrumentation and control products and applications, pressure, temperature, level and flow sensors, valves and actuators. 
Business to business (B2B) field sales experienced in a relevant sector as an Area Sales Manager/Engineer, Regional Sales Manager/Engineer 
Ideal, but not mandatory, have an engineering qualification in the industry such as ONC, HNC or Degree level in an Engineering subject
