Sales Manager Industrial Electrical Control & Automation Circa £40K - £45K Basic plus OTE Bonus plus Car & Pension, PMI, Life Assurance and other Benefits.
We have a superb opportunity for the right candidate to join our client’s business as the Sales Manager of a small and growing sales team. You will have the desire to build the company sales, growing an already established customer base, with the ability to take responsibility for accounts of you own and lead from the front, motivating and driving the sales team to further success. You will have full support resources from head office and your achievements will be rewarded. There is flexibility on location, however a central location such as East or West Midlands may be advantageous.
Ideally you will currently be an experienced Sales Manager, Branch Manager or Regional Sales Manager in the Electrical Sector, with some degree of experience in man management and team leadership. You will have previously been successful selling electrical components, working for a technical electrical distributor or electrical wholesale and selling to OEM’s, End Users, Panel Builders, contractors and installers.
The product portfolio consists of a range of high quality, leading brand Electrical components and consumable products, i.e. Control Gear, Switchgear, Enclosure, Cable and Cable Management, Connectors, Accessories and automation components into the OEM, End User, System Integrator, Panel Builder and general electrical markets mainly across England, mainly with a developed and growing customer base in the South East and West Midlands but looking to further develop other geographic areas organically.
As the successful candidate, you will have sales and ideally some technical experience in the Electrical sector coupled with a record of sales success and achievement. A formal Electrical qualification would be an advantage. Ideally you will also have benefited from further career development training to enhance your sales skills.
As is usual you will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a business plan for the team in order to achieve growth objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts whilst constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. Excellent attributes such as good organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player whilst enjoying a level of autonomy are essential, as are capability with Microsoft packages.
