Key Account Manager Utilities and Major End User Circa £50K OTE plus car or car allowance, pension, expenses, laptop, mobile etc
Our Client, a respected name in the field of test, measurement and detection instruments, seeks an experienced and motivated sales person to further develop sales of their products specifically to the network of utility providers in the Electricity, Gas and Water industry and other end users associated with these sectors throughout the U.K. Dealing both directly when required and also through distribution channels of Electrical Wholesaler, Technical Distributor and Specialist Resellers, you will be totally responsible for further development of all business in the designated product range throughout the U.K. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, working alongside the current external sales team and further supported by an internal sales team you will be field based operating from either your home office or the company offices spending approximately 3 days per week travelling and visiting customers and 2 days per week for your administration and appointment making. Whilst working in partnership with resellers to develop the business utilising joint plans to target customers, you will still be researching and interacting with customers directly and independently to develop PSL status, framework agreements and specification when possible.
Already a Key Account Manager, Area Sales Engineer or Area Sales Manager in the Electrical Industry, along with several year experience in key sales roles to the Utility sector and service organisations. You must demonstrate an ability to understand the equipment and its use sufficiently to carry out demonstrations, tradeshows and other activities that build awareness, such as customer training. You will be commercially driven with the ability to take on board training in the products and effectively develop business in the area. Ideally in possession of an electrical qualification. Home and office based you are likely to be living Northern Home Counties and North London area, Berkshire, Oxford, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire.
