Job Description

Industrial Electrical Installations Engineer – circa £30K - 43K basic plus overtime, company vehicle, fuel, hotels, expenses, overnight allowance, tools for the job.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified apprentice trained industrial electrical engineer to join our Clients team and ever growing business. Ideally located in the West Yorkshire, however, there is flexibility in location since significant time is spent on customer sites throughout the UK, and there is more than one position available. So possible locations would include Harrogte, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield, Halifax, Oldham, Rochdale, Manchester.

The position requires the successful candidate to join the existing engineers in the industrial electrical installation, service and breakdown sector of our business. You will be able to work alone as well as part of a team and should have a good knowledge of Industrial electrical installation and electrical safety. An Electrical Engineer with experience as a commissioning engineer, installation engineer, maintenance engineer will all be considered. 

A good understanding of control systems (panels) is essential, with the ability to diagnose faults correctly. Typical installation projects would include the installation of various control systems throughout a wide variety of industry sectors as well as system interlocking and integration.

The successful candidate will have high standards of workmanship, health and safety, be well presented, a good communicator and required to conduct themselves professionally at all times and required to liaise with customer staff at various levels.

The position will involve working away from home on a regular basis with regular overtime available, normal hours being 8.00 – 1700 hrs Monday to Friday.

Qualifications Required

City and guilds NVQ level 3 2357 or 2397
City and guilds 2391 or 2394 and 2395 electrical testing and inspection

City and guilds 2382 17th edition

Qualifications Preferred But Not Essential

CSCS /ECS or equivalent
Asbestos awareness
IPAF

CompEx certification

HVAP/HVSAP

Permit to work system familiarity

Full training and other necessary qualifications will be given annually as part of our health & safety at work program
