We are tasked by our client, a well established distributor of components within the electronic and electrical sector, to search for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the approximately half of England. There is some flexibility in location due to the fact that the area can be organised around the most suitable, successful candidate. Ideally the successful person will be located with good access to major road networks, probably have a technical qualification in electronic or electrical engineering, although not essential as it is more important that you are able to demonstrate your product and market knowledge. Your role is to maintain existing accounts and develop additional business via existing and new accounts in order to maximise sales, both to direct accounts and distribution channels, whilst working in an organised and structured manner to your sales plan to develop the business.
The role will be primarily selling their core electronic components such as PCB terminal blocks and connectors, PCB electro mechanical relays, led displays, audible devices and switches to OEMs and distributors and kitting houses. The company's preference is for applicants with a relevant Electrical/Electronic engineering qualification, however, applicants with experience in the electronic component market place will also be considered.
As is usual the position carries sales and performance targets which should be met in order to achieve maximum reward for the position. You will have smart personal appearance, team spirit and a positive, motivated attitude.
