Our Client is a well respected name in the marketplace for electrical test equipment. They seek an experienced and motivated sales person to further develop sales of their products throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dealing directly and through distribution channels of Electrical Wholesaler, Technical Distributor and Specialist Resellers, you will be totally responsible for all business in the designated territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager and supported by an internal sales team you will be field based operating from your home office spending approximately 4 days per week visiting customers and 1 day per week for your administration and appointment making. You will develop and manage a network of Local, National Distributors and Independent Wholesalers for the territory assigned. Supporting distributors in coaching, training, and motivating and product/sales education. Assist distributors and agents in responding to customer requirements and applications and recommend appropriate equipment configurations.
Ideally, already an Area Sales Engineer or Area Sales Manager in the Electrical products or services sector, you will have either an electrical engineering qualification or be time served and experienced in the electrical sector, a background or proven experience of the industry and test equipment and its use would also be accepted. You must demonstrate an ability to understand the equipment and its use sufficiently to carry out demonstrations, tradeshows and other activities that build awareness. You will be commercially driven with the ability to take on board training in the products and effectively develop business in the area. Living centrally in Scotland M8 corridor ideally, suitable locations include: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, Cumbernauld, Livingstone.
